Jingle Bell Jog – Iola

The Iola High School Track & Field Team is hosting the 19th Annual Jingle Bell Jog will be held on December 17th. The walking / running 5K race will take place along the Southwind Trail in Iola. Runners are encouraged to wear jingle bells on their shoes. Kids Events start at 10am with the running events starting at 10:30. Events taking place that day include:
Catch The Cookie: Kids will race around an enclosed area and try and catch the Gingerbread Man. This is a free event. The child who catches the cookie will receive a tasty gift!
Holiday Costume Contest: Kids dress to impress. Whoever is dressed in the most holiday cheer will receive a tasty gift!
5K Run: Runners will run from the town square to the Southwind Trail. They will then run south until they are to turn around and come back to the town square.
5K Walk: Walkers will start just after the runners took off and walk the same course as the runners.
In addition to these different events, there will be food and drink available for purchase. All runners and walkers will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt.
