First Fishing for a Cure Toumament
Santa Fe Park on April 27 will be filled with fun, fishing and music. The first Fishing for a Cure tournament will have a variety of events. All proceeds will benefit Neosho County Relay for Life. In the fishing tournament, there are two classes for adults (one for bass, one for catfish) from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. with a $15 entry fee. There are also two fishing classes for kids (14 and younger) from 9 a.m.- noon, for $5 ($5 dollars extra to be entered in the “biggest fish” contest.) Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All fishing and boating regulations must be followed. There will be pet adoptions by Anna’s Angel’s along with pet accessories. So bring your dogs to the park. At the Fiesta grounds, a live band will start as soon as the tournament ends. The Snak Shak will be set up for breakfast and lunch. Relay teams will also be selling goodies. And there will be booths, including Premier Jewlery, Tupperware. and Pampered Chef.
